18 U.S.C. §2257 Compliance Notice

pornboxd is not a producer — primary or secondary — of any of the sexually explicit content referenced on this site. pornboxd is a discovery and review platform that indexes publicly available metadata from third-party studios. All actual performance content is hosted, produced, and distributed by those studios, who are the custodians of any records required under 18 U.S.C. §2257 and its implementing regulations at 28 C.F.R. Part 75.
Why pornboxd is not a producer
Under 18 U.S.C. §2257 and 28 C.F.R. §75.1(c), a “producer” is an entity that actually films, digitizes, publishes, or manages sexually explicit visual depictions of actual human beings. pornboxd does none of these things. Specifically:
- pornboxd does not create, film, direct, produce, or commission any content.
- pornboxd does not host or stream any sexually explicit video.
- pornboxd does not operate a membership, subscription, or pay-per-view video service.
- pornboxd displays thumbnail images and metadata (title, description, tags, cast, release date) strictly for the purpose of discovery, cataloging, and user reviews, with outbound links that direct visitors to the originating studio.
pornboxd’s activities fall within the exemptions for merely transmitting, hosting, indexing, or linking to content described in 18 U.S.C. §2257(h)(2)(B) and 28 C.F.R. §75.1(c)(4).
Where §2257 records are kept
Because pornboxd is not a producer, we do not keep §2257 records. Records relating to the performers depicted in any content referenced on this site are maintained by the original producer of that content — the studio identified on the video’s detail page. The “Watch on [Studio]” link on every video page directs you to that studio, where you can find its own §2257 compliance statement and the contact information for its designated custodian of records.
All performers were 18 or older
pornboxd only indexes content from studios that represent, through their own §2257 compliance, that every performer depicted was at least 18 years of age at the time of recording. Any suspicion otherwise is handled as an urgent safety matter (see below).
Performer removal requests
If you are a performer (or the authorized representative of one) and you want your likeness removed from pornboxd’s index, you do not need to use the DMCA process. Email [email protected] from an address we can reasonably verify as belonging to you or your representative, and include:
- Your stage name as it appears on pornboxd and any other names you are known by.
- A link to the performer page and/or specific video pages you want removed.
- Enough identifying information for us to reasonably confirm that you are who you say you are. We will propose a verification step if needed.
We will act on verified requests promptly. This process is independent of any DMCA notice from the underlying studio — you do not need to be a rights holder to request removal of your own likeness.
Urgent reports: minors, non-consensual material, or exploitation
If you believe any content referenced on pornboxd involves a person under 18, is non-consensual, or depicts trafficking, coercion, or other exploitation, report it immediately to [email protected]. We treat these reports as our top priority, and we will remove the relevant records from our index and escalate to law enforcement as appropriate. We will also contact the underlying studio where possible.
